WORKS WITH CLIENTS 18 YEARS OLD THROUGH ADULTS PASSION POINT: Helping Clients See Positive Changes in their Lives I specialize in all types of addictions and have taken extra course work in gambling addictions. I’ve been in practice since 1991, and am a strong believer that healing and good mental health involves the balance of mind, body, and spirit. Much of my work besides addictions involves depression, anger management, anxieties, working with adults and couples. I most often use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and reality therapy, as well as Brainspotting/EMDR. What I like about counseling is helping others and being part of the process and seeing positive changes in people’s lives. I like the “connectedness” and relationships that are part of counseling. MY PHILOSOPHY I believe people need a safe place where they can talk about their feelings and issues. In this environment, they can work toward their goals without fear of being judged and can allow themselves to be vulnerable. I think people need to feel significant and want to be heard and understood, which counseling provides.
